"Every Room Needs..."

An old neighbor of mine with a fun personality used to say frequently, "Every room needs a little spot of leopard." (Which translated loosely to mean any faux animal print.) We quickly translated this to our fashion sense as well and adopted the idea that we could exchange the word "room" with "outfit." I think of her every time I see a fun faux animal print shoe or handbag that I love. While it's not leopard print, here's the one that I'm obsessed with at the moment. I'm dying to use the high contrast zebra print on an accent chair (or two). Using two chairs purchased at an auction a few years ago, I'll be able to indulge my desire to create something new for my own home. I've already stripped the first chair of all fabric and staples, which took me a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. The chair was sent to the refinisher for stripping and I painted it black when it returned. I'll show you all the stages of stretching the webbing and recovering the chair in an upcoming post.
